Marking a year since the Longtown Art Club formed, the Creative Confidence exhibition showcases the journey of local people who now proudly describe themselves as artists. Their exciting learning experience can be seen through the thematic exploration of birds, still life and landscapes.
Experimental drawings – using pen, pencil and pastels – sit alongside paintings in watercolour, acrylic and ink. A body of work that illustrates the enrichment of making, the benefits of creative risk taking and the power of a determined, supportive community.
The Exhibition has a Charity Opening event (ticketed £10 per head to include drinks and nibbles), proceeds to go to the Air Ambulance and sponsorship of the children’s drawing and painting sections of the Longtown Show 2026) on the 23rd October starting at 7pm.
