26/10/25 Harvest landscape art (ages 11 to 15), 11.50–1pm
COURSE TUTOR: Emma Thacker-Vuts, art & design skills tutor
VENUE: Longtown Village Hall, HR2 0LD
Emma specialises in igniting and furthering creative self-expression and confidence. With over 30 years of tutoring experience working with young and mature artists, she now works in Herefordshire with individuals and community group workshops, exploring a wide range of media and skills. The aim of Emma’s work is to inspire and enable others.
What to expect
Using ink pen speed drawing, young artists will learn and refine this technique whilst responding to their choice from harvest landscape images.
In this workshop Emma will work with up to 6 young people guiding them to draw with ink and explore the stylised technique of continuous line speed drawing. Using only black ink pens, the group will experiment and refine this skill.
The young artists will choose from visual stimulus of harvest landscapes. Working at A4 size, Emma will support all individuals to create their own unique ink drawing. Finally, water wash will be applied with fine brushes to enhance the depth of the artwork.
This is a workshop to build confidence in drawing and also for those who want to experiment by trying out a loose, freestyle approach of drawing.
All materials and equipment provided. Young people should wear clothes appropriate for art.
Adults are welcome to stay at the venue but are respectfully requested to sit in the refreshment area and enjoy the Art Exhibition on display whilst their young person immerses in the workshop.
Do arrive 10 minutes before the start time so that the young people can be greeted and settled.
